West Cork Sailing is located in Adrigole at the foot of the Healy Pass on the Beara peninsula. Neil and Gail started the school in 1998 with just 8 dinghies and operated for two years from an old shed without even running water. However, by the beginning of 2008 they had increased their fleet to 50 including kayaks, dinghies, keelboats, powerboats and a yacht.
They have further plans for the future namely to become the West Cork Adventure Centre with high ropes, low ropes, indoor climbing, archery, underground mazes, orienteering, climbing and much more.
Their school now offers the RYA & ISA 15 or 22 Week Commercial Yachtmaster course as well as loads of other possibilities to suit family holidays, day trippers, corporate events, cruising not to mention other courses such as powerboat training, instructor training or even Fetac accredited training modules.
